3.Pacific Palisades-Parade @ 2p.m. along Sunset Blvd.  Fireworks sh0w @ Palisades High, 15777 Bowdoin, with entertainemnt staring @ 7 p.m.

5.Torrance-The celebration begins @ 11a.m. @ Charles Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard, and culminates with fireworks.

For your safety, we remind you that use of fireworks often starts brush, home, and forest fires, endangering the lives of many unnecessarily!  Many people, including young children, are injured or burned each year from using even “Safe and Sane’ fireworks!

The Santa Monica Police Department reminds you that ALL fireworks are illegal to sell, posses, or use in the City!  This includes the “Safe & Sane” fireworks as well.  Any fireworks in your possession wil be confiscated .  Their possession is punishable by fines, imprisonment or both.”

Drinking alcoholic, ‘adult beverages” in public places, including @ the beach & pier, is against the law, and is stricly enforced!

Donot drink and drive!  If you decide to drink, choose a designated driver to drive you, friends and family home safely.

This Saturday, June 27th, 2009, Santa Monica College’s traditional “Celebrate America” event will be held @ the Santa Monica College’s Corsair Field (no foos or drink will be allowed on the field).  A Community and Food Fair will be held @ the Church on Pearl (16th and Pearl Street).  Doors open @ 6;30pm.  Entertaiment begins @ 6:30pm.  (In the City of Santa Monica.)
